đŸ‡ŻđŸ‡” From Calgary to Japan: Righteous Hits the Costco Roadshow

Monday April 13, 2026

There are some moments that feel a little bigger than others.  This is one of them.

For the first time, Righteous Gelato is heading to Japan, popping up inside Costco warehouses as part of a limited-time roadshow. What started in Calgary is now making its way across the world, which is equal parts exciting and a little surreal.

If you’ve ever done a lap through Costco and stopped for a sample (and then maybe doubled back), you already know how these roadshows go. High traffic, a bit of chaos, and a lot of “wait
 that’s actually really good.”

That’s exactly the energy.

Rather than quietly landing on a shelf, this gives us a chance to show up properly. Let people taste it, ask questions, and decide for themselves. Just a good product doing its thing.

We’re keeping it simple for our Japan debut with two of our most-loved dairy-free sorbetto flavours: Raspberry Lime and Mango Pineapple. Bright, fruit-forward, made with real ingredients, nothing artificial, and a texture that’s smoother than your average frozen dessert.

If you know, you know. If not, this is a solid place to start.

You’ll find us at select Costco locations in the greater Tokyo area:

Shinmisato: April 13–26

Kawasaki: April 13–26

Makuhari: April 27–May 10

Our Makuhari stop lines up with Japan’s Golden Week (April 29–May 6), a time when people are off, gathering with family, and making the most of a stretch of holidays. Which, if you ask us, feels like a pretty perfect time to discover a new freezer staple.

We’ll be sampling, scooping, and paying close attention to what people think. It’s a first step into a new market, and we’re here to learn as much as we can.

At the end of the day, we believe good gelato speaks for itself. Same ingredients, same approach, just a different part of the world.

Arigatƍ, Japan. We can’t wait to meet you. đŸ‡ŻđŸ‡”
