What started as a small gelato shop in Calgary back in 2009 has grown into Canada's #1 gelato brand. Today, you'll find Righteous in grocery stores from coast to coast, but our mission remains exactly the same:

Every pint of Righteous is crafted right here in Calgary, Alberta.

From developing new flavours and sourcing ingredients to freezing, tasting (very important), and packing every pint, it all happens under one roof.

We're proudly Canadian-made and independently owned. While some ingredients come from the places they grow best, like pineapples from warmer climates, we work with Canadian growers and local suppliers whenever possible.

So, What Makes Righteous Different?

There are a lot of options in the freezer aisle. We think what goes into your pint matters, but ultimately, it has to taste incredible.

Luckily, we don't think you should have to choose between the two.

Seriously Delicious Starts With Seriously Good Ingredients

All of our offerings start with the best ingredients we can get our hands on.

We never use artificial flavours or colours, and aside from the natural sugars found in fruit, our gelato and sorbetto are sweetened with pure cane sugar.

No corn syrup. No mono and diglycerides. Just simple ingredients and big, bold flavour.

Rich, Creamy Gelato

Our gelato is made with milk and cream and less air whipped in than traditional ice cream.

The result? A rich, creamy texture and more flavour in every scoop.

One Tiny Tip Before You Dig In

Gelato likes things a little warmer than your freezer does.

For the best Righteous experience, let your pint temper on the counter for a few minutes, or pop it into the fridge for 10–15 minutes before serving.

Once it's just soft enough to dig into easily, grab a spoon and get after it.
