Righteous Gelato Academy Experience

We did a team building event on September 10 for the tour and gelato making. It was a wild success! The tour of another small and local company was inspiring. The flavours that our group came up with all turned out amazing and the vast quantities that were taken home will be enjoyed for some time to come. I would recommend this adventure to anyone who likes fun, flavour, and supporting local.

Did this as a gift for my grandmas 77th birthday and she had a great time. Staff was super friendly and nice

My friend and I took part in the Gelato Academy experience back in July and it was fantastic! Both Miles and Camila, who led the experience, were awesome...friendly, helpful and so enthusiastic. The tasting that started the experience was great, we got to try every flavour in the case, so yummy. Creating our own gelato flavour from all of the different options was a lot of fun, as was the actual process of making and packaging it, which was completely hands on. With Camila's help and suggestions, our flavour (caramel ice cream with peanut butter, waffle cone and chocolate flakes) turned out to be absolutely delicious! Touring the factory and hearing about the history of the company was super interesting as well. I'd recommend this to anyone to try for a fun and tasty afternoon!

Staff were friendly and this experience has a lot of potential, but overall it wasn’t great. When we arrived the staff seemed surprised that we had the experience booked. They were busy with customers at the gelato bar throughout our academy - needed to have a dedicated staff member for academy. We were a group of 3 and were under the impression we would each make our own flavour, but only got to make 1. In the end we had 16 containers of the same flavour and they weren’t great, as the hibiscus tea we added steeped too long and was bitter. A lot of expensive gelato that no one will be eating!
One member of our group had done the academy about 10 years ago and had a much better experience then - more personal, better factory tour (actually went inside, were shown each step and machine), smaller quantity of gelato made but all individualized flavours.
Overall, we feel like this COULD have been fantastic but was just ok.

Glenn and Miles did an excellent job answering all of my dad’s questions about Righteous Gelato — he’s a fan — as well as helping us make the most delicious flavour! We even sampled everything!! I’d absolutely do this tour again, even if just to sample the latest.
